Easter Fun at Home

Happy Easter!

We have put together some great ideas for kids to have fun at home this Easter!

Wishing you all a Happy Easter with your little ones,

The Adore a'Belles team xo

Bunny Hop

Kids love to burn energy, right?! Then this is the perfect Easter activity for little ones (Mum and Dad you can join in too!) Decorate old hessian sacks or pillow cases, line up and get hopping!!

Drive in Movie

Easter time often calls for a chance to sit back, relax and watch a good Easter movie. (Peter Rabbit or Hop, or Dora's Easter Adventure for the younger ones spring to mind). Jazz it up a bit and get the kids to create their own car out of cardboard, paper plates, paint..  be creative as you like! Serve up some fresh popcorn and you have a wonderful Easter activity the children will love.

Egg & Spoon Race

Easter's not complete without a traditional egg and spoon race! This simple activity is fun for both young and old.

Balance eggs on a teaspoon, tablespoon (or bigger for the little ones) from one spot to another. The aim of the game is to not drop your egg! On your marks, get set, race!

Scavenger Hunt

Children absolutely love scavenger hunts. It gets their brain working as they try to solve the riddles... with the aim of course to find a delicious Easter treat at the end.

Why not take the stress out of it all with printable ready made scavenger hunt clues or you can get creative and make your own! Inside or outside - this game is sure to be a favourite for the kids this Easter weekend.

Colouring In

We know how much kids love to colour so here's another Easter themed printable to keep those little ones occupied while you have a well deserved cuppa. Have you seen the Easter Egg colouring activity put out by NZ's Prime Minister Jacinda Adern? It's a great way to get the kids involved in colouring and the fun of Easter. It will be great to get out for a walk to see the creations proudly displayed on windows by children in our communities.

Rock Painting

If the sun's shining, it's a great opportunity to get out into the yard for a bit of Easter crafts. Here is a simple activity for little ones - find egg shaped rocks and create some colourful Easter Egg themed patterns. Why not distribute them on the pathways for other neighbours to see when they are out for their exercise. Spread the love and fun this Easter!

Easter Activity Sheet

Fancy a bit of quiet puzzle time? This Easter themed activity sheet will keep the kids busy for a while. Can you find the hidden words, unscramble the code, and complete the maze? Plus a good old fashioned game of noughts and crosses.

Now, it must be time to heat up the Hot Cross Buns...
